Justin and I could have met multiple times when we were going to school at UNM. We knew a lot of the same people, had a similar routines, and even were in similar enough fields(Justin majored in Film and I majored in Theatre) that our paths should have definitely crossed at some point. But they never did and we didn’t actually meet until after we both graduated.

Once we met, it was like all the pieces of the puzzle finally came together. From the start, it felt like I had known Justin forever. I know that’s what everyone says when they fall in love, but it truly was something I had never experienced with another person. We just get each other in every way imaginable and I have never felt more myself with another person. We ended up moving in together after a few months of dating and started to create our weird and wacky little world together. I feel silly talking about it because it feels impossible to put into words the sheer amount of love, happiness, and excitement we share for our present and our future.

Justin surprised me by proposing on a trip we took to Seattle last summer to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He proposed at the base of a glacier at the top of Mount Rainer and I always laugh thinking about how the day unfolded. I was so mad for the entire hike because Justin was so happy and go-lucky (as he usually is) and I was dying of pain and exhaustion haha, but it was all worth it for that beautiful moment.

We are so excited for our new adventure to begin and so so happy that we can celebrate such a tremendous moment with all of our friends and family who we love so much.
